Dharamsala, May 16, 2022: The north India (including Himachal) is experiencing the scorching heat spell for the past few days. But the latest weather forecast has brought a bit of relief to the public of Himachal as the Meteorological Centre; Shimla has predicted a Wet spell over the State from 16th to 18th May 2022.
 
In its today’s Weather Forecast & Advisory for the State of Himachal Pradesh it says, In view of approach of the fresh Western Disturbance in mid troposphere levels with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level, light to moderate thunderstorm /rainfall associated with lightning hailstorm likely in low and mid hills districts of Himachal Pradesh, and rain / snow in higher areas during 16-18th May 2022.

There will be significant decrease in prevailing maximum temperatures with respite to ongoing abnormal high temperatures.

It further said that this weather conditions may be accompanied with lighting and gusty winds adequate safety measures may be taken in this regard.
 
Una was the hottest place in the state with 44°C on Sunday followed by Kangra 41, Hamirpur 40, Bilaspur 39.2, Chamba 39, Sundernagar 37.7, Nahan & Bhunter 37.5, Solan 37.2,Dharamsala 37, Palampur 34.1 and Shimla 30.5 °C.
