Dharamsala, May 25, 2023: Kishan Kapoor, the BJP MP of Kangra-Chamba seat, has criticized the Himachal Pradesh government for attempting to take credit for developmental works carried out through centrally sponsored schemes in his area. In a press statement issued today in Dharamsala the BJP MP expressed concerns over the Dharamshala Smart City project and said that many plans of Dharamshala Smart City are hanging in the balance, stating that the state government lacks the funds to fulfill its share of the financial commitment.

Furthermore, Kapoor highlighted the exclusion of the elected MP from the four-day programs organized by the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister in Kangra. He viewed this as a disregard for protocol and a sign of disrespect towards the federal structure. Kapoor acknowledged the remarkable development that has taken place in Himachal Pradesh over the past decade, attributing it to the special interest shown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Commenting on the performance of the Sukhu-led Congress government in the state, Kapoor criticized the party for making false promises to the public during their election campaign. He expressed confidence that the public would hold the government accountable for its actions. Kapoor also highlighted the severe financial crisis faced by the state, with several boards and corporations struggling to pay salaries to their employees. He called for the exploration of additional financial resources and the reduction of wasteful expenditure. Kapoor emphasized the need to address unemployment in the state and urged the Sukhu government to prioritize district development over political agendas in Kangra-Chamba.
