Himachal experiences rainfall at many places during last 24 hrs

Dharamshala, August 13, 2019: Monsoon is highly active in the state of Himachal. Meteorological Centre of the state in its morning bulletin on Tuesday, has said that the rainfall occurred at many places during last 24 hours, but the heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in the districts of Hamirpur, Kangra and Mandi.

Highest rainfall recoded in this period was 110mm in Sujanpur Tira, followed by Guler-103mm, Nagrota Suriyan-96mm, Gohar-69 mm, Dehra Gopipur-67 mm, Mandi-47 mm, Gaggal-43 mm, Bangana-36 mm, Una-34 mm, Palampur-33 mm, Nadaun-32 mm, Jogindernagar-30 mm, Dharamshala-27 mm, Kheri-26 mm, Pandoh & Nahan-25 mm each, Bhoranj-22 mm, Chamba-19 mm, Baijnath-18 mm, Baldwara-16 mm, Ghamroor-13 mm, Bharari-11 mm and Saloni-10mm.

The centre in its weather forecast for the state of Himachal Pradesh has said that the condition of rain along with thundershowers will continue till next Monday at many places in Himachal Pradesh whereas heavy to very heavy rainfall is predicted for few places on August 13, August 16 and August 17.
