Himachal CM dedicates water park and wayside amenities

Shimla, June 30, 2017: To facilitate the visitors and providing recreational facilities to the children, Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh today inaugurated the ‘Water Park’at Sadhupul, besides other two upgraded way-side amenities of tourism department at Bhararighat in Solan district and at Sombhadra in district Una.

The inaugurations were performed online through video-conferencing from Oak Over, the official residence of the Chief Minister.

While speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that more such type of wayside facilities would be created for the visitors in near future. The water park at Sadhupul would be an added source of amusement for the adults and the children.

Members BoD of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) Shri Surinder Sethi, Shri Vijay Inder Karan and Shri Virendar Dharmani graced the occasion on the inauguration sites and performed the unveiling of plaques.

He informed that the State Government is committed to provide better tourism facilities to the visitors in the State and we have added nine wayside amenities during last one year.

Managing Director, HPTDC Shri Dinesh Malhotra, said that HPTDC was providing quality tourism products and facilities to the tourists.

He added that HPTDC is operating four wayside amenities at Sadhupul with an outlay of Rs1.25 crore , Bhararighat 1.52 crore, Devi Dehra costing Rs. 41.70Lakh and at Una on which a sum of Rs. 52.90 lakh has been incurred.

Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Tourism) Shri Mansa Ram, Director, BoD, H.P. Kaushal Vikas Nigam Shri Vikramaditya Singh, Vice- Chairman, HPTDC Sh. Harish Janartha, Member BoD, HPTDC, Shri Amarjeet Singh, OSD to Chief Minister, Shri Amit Pal Singh were also present on the occasion.
