Himachal CM condoles death of Havaldar Labh Singh

Dharamshala, January 11, 2018: Chief Minster Shri Jai Ram Thakur expressed grief over demise of Havaldar Labh Singh of Dogra regiment resident of village Kanwal in Mandi district who gave his services in various wars in post independence era. He fought Indo-Pak war of 1965 and 1971 and India-Sino war of 1962.

Labh Singh Joined the Indian army in 1952 and was recipient of many medals including, Raksha Medal, Samar Seva Samman, Sangram Medal, Purvi Star, 25th Independence anniversary medal and 9 year Xm medal for good conduct.

Labh Singh passed away at his native village Kanwal at the age of 83 after prolonged illness.

In his condolence message the Chief Minister said that we should always remember and respect the war heroes and prayed for peace for the departed soul and strength to the family members for this irreparable loss.
