High Commissioner of Malawi visited PCTE
Ludhiana, February 25, 2019: His Excellency Mr.George Crytone Mkondiwa, High Commissioner, Malawi Embassy to India visited PCTE. The Ambassador during his visit interacted with the Business Management Students on the topic “Aspects of Public Administration”. During his session, he explained about Importance public administration stating that there’s a noticeable increase in the activities of government all over the world, further discussed how the embassies work and the role education plays in whatever field you go. He also went wholeheartedly among students to listen to their queries. The students were delighted to hear from a renowned personality like him, having vast experience of over 38 years of public service and over 2 years in the Private sector. After attending the session, Omar Geoffery, Student of MBA, said: “We have numerous guest lectures and it is always to have guest lectures from Ambassadors and Attachés”. He further added, “it gives us immense information and gives us the opportunity to learn from their life experiences and we could apply back it into our lives” His Excellency Mr. Mkondiwa said, “I’m thankful to PCTE for inviting me to visit the college. It was a pleasure meeting management and Head of other Departments and interacting with the students. He further added, Its good to see that students are here getting hands-on practical knowledge while they are studying. I wish PCTE good luck for their future endeavors.”. Dr. Gautam Bansal, Director said that “We are trying our best to bring students around the world closer and help students to understand the mix of different cultures, which will eventually strengthen learning base. PCTE has students from 41 countries studying on campus. Also, students from 10 countries have graduated and are working at good designations back home. Till now PCTE has experienced 37 Ambassadors and Senior officials of different countries having visited PCTE and interacted with students on various economic and business aspects under “Your Excellency Lecture series”. Dr. K.N.S. Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes, after giving a warm welcome to His Excellency, said, “It was wonderful to have him here. This will strengthen the educational bond between Malawi and India”. PCTE is always ready to accept proposals of mutual co-operation to reform, propagate the education scenario so that the new generation may be able to shoulder the responsibilities in the real sense of the words.”
