Ludhiana, May 12, 2025: Hero Steels Limited, Sua Road, Ludhiana organized a program regarding improvement of Environment and Environmental Awareness at village, Paddi, District Ludhiana on May 10.
Er. R.K. Gupta, Sr. Environmental Engineer (Retd.) PPCB, Environmental Consultant, Vishal Kumar, Assistant General Manager (HR), Satveer Singh Gill, Sarpanch Village Paddi, Gurminder Singh, ETP Manager, Sanjeev Kumar, Asst. Manager (HR) & Sukhvinder Singh Multani, CSO were present during the occasion.
The work regarding cleaning of village ponds was started by the industry regarding improvement in the environment of village Paddi and to increase rain water recharge capacity of village ponds in the presence of Satveer Singh Gill, Sarpanch.
The cloth bags were also distributed to the residents of village Paddi. They were also motivated by Er. Gupta regarding no use of plastic for their day-to-day needs.
Vishal Kumar, Assistant General Manager (HR) of the company informed that the company has adopted the village to improve the environment of the village. He further informed that Jitendra Sharma, Executive Director of the industry is very much concerned about the environment and the vision of Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman of the company is very clear towards the environmental pollution control & compliances thereof.
Satveer Singh Gill, Sarpanch of the village thanked the management of the company for their good cause regarding up-gradation of the environment of the village.
Vishal Kumar, Assistant General Manager (HR) informed that the company has organized the program under the guidance of Er. R.K. Gupta, Sr. Environmental Engineer (Retd.) PPCB, Environmental Consultant and will also remain performing activities regarding up-gradation of environment in future also.
