HERNIACON 2019 Conference begins in DMCH

Ludhiana, November 22, 2019: Department of General Surgery, DMCH today organized ‘HERNIACON 2019’ conference in Auditorium of DMC College Campus.
The conference is based on the theme ‘Current Practices in Hernia and AWR Surgery’
Giving information, Organizing Chairperson Dr Atul Mishra said that the field of hernia surgery is transforming at a greater pace with the advent of various minimally invasive techniques, and the conference was organized to enlighten the delegates about recent advancements in the field of hernia surgery.
National faculty invited during the conference include Dr Sarfaraz Baig from and Dr B. Ramana from Kolkata, Dr Parveen Bhatia and Dr Manish Baijal from New Delhi, Dr Rahul Mahadar and Dr Jignesh Gandhi from Mumbai and Dr M Ramesh from Bengaluru.
Organizing Secretary-Dr Amandeep Singh Nar said that the first day of the conference included ‘Live Operative Workshop’ which was telecast from Surgery OT of DMC Hospital to the venue. The live operative workshop included Laparoscopic procedures including TEP, TAPP, eTEP for Inguinal hernia and IPOM Plus, eTEP-RS, eTEP-TAR, Open TAR and SCOLA for Ventral Hernia.
