Here’s how Kushal Tandon bagged role of Sufiyaan from Bebaakee

It’s not even been a week since the release of the ALTBalaji and ZEE5 Club's romantic saga Bebaakee, and audiences can’t stop raving about the show. Delivering soul-touching performances so far as Sufiyaan, Kainaat, and Imtiaz, played by Kushal Tandon, Shivjyoti Rajput, and Karan Jotwani respectively, have gone on to become overnight sensations on social media amongst their die-hard fans.

Playing the role of the Bebaak and passionate lover, Kushal Tandon continues to garner plaudits with every passing day. Speaking about how he bagged the role of Sufiyaan, the handsome hunk revealed that he got the call from content czarina Ekta Kapoor to discuss the role when he was undergoing martial arts training in Thailand. Going by the resounding success of his character and the show, there’s no prize for guessing that Kushal was glad he said yes to her.

Speaking about the incident, the actor said, “Ekta Ma’am called me and said, "I have written a role for you. You have to do this role, and it’s tailor-made for you." I agreed to this immediately. What really stood out was Ekta (Kapoor) ma'am telling me that it's a very crazy character with grey shades and one of the best-written roles in a fictional web series. I really respect and admire her a lot, and when I met her for the first time while shooting for the show Hum, I was in complete awe of her. One of the best things about her is how she is able to explain every character so beautifully. I guess that’s what made it so easy for me to portray such a challenging role that viewers have gone on to love.”

Experience the passion of Sufiyaan, the strength and love of Kainaat, and the enduring and respectful love of Imtiaz in Bebaakee. With finally the show being launched, we can’t wait to see how things unfold in this family drama that is high on emotion. The first ten episodes are already streaming on both the digital platforms.
