Chandigarh, November 7: A private hospital in Panchkula on Thursday announced to treat any patient requiring heart surgery irrespective of his or her financial position with tailor made fixed expenses as per patients’ affordability.
Dr Virendar Sarwal, director of cardiothoracic & vascular at Ojas Hospital informed that we have also launched a 24*7 helpline 8727066555 where any heart patient requiring surgery can get an opinion guidance on his heart disease free of cost by the team of experts.
Ojas is also first private hospital in tricity to accept Ayushman Scheme in heart surgeries and till date we have performed 11 heart surgeries under scheme.
The patients who gave undergone heart surgeries at hospital will also get life time free follow-up consultation. Hospital is also running a free second opinion clinic on heart disease requiring surgeries to give scientific right opinion, remarked Dr Sarwal.
Meanwhile Ojas is also only hospital in this region to bring new technology towards Minimally Invasive Surgery where in chest bone is not cut or opened.
We have already started Endoscopic Vein Harvesting where only 2 small incisions are required for taking out whole length of vein with the help of endoscope. So there is no long cuts on the legs, remarked Dr Sarwal who is also a member of Society of Thoracic Surgeons, USA.
We are also launching Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery soon where instead of big incision , we will be offering heart surgeries through small incision on right or left side of the chest in about 60% of the heart patients. This will require special instruments and there will be some increased expenses too, informed Dr Sarwal.
