Rohtak, April 25, 2026: Dr. H.K. Aggarwal, Vice Chancellor of Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Health University, Rohtak, met with Chancellor and Haryana Governor, Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh, and briefed him on the university's various initiatives to strengthen academic excellence and health services.

During the meeting, VC Dr. Aggarwal highlighted the varsity's continued efforts to promote research, encourage innovation, and improve the overall quality of medical education. He emphasized the crucial role of the university's flagship institute, PGIMS, Rohtak, which receives approximately 8,000 patients daily for treatment. These patients come from not only Haryana but also neighboring states. He also shared information about the hospital's infrastructure upgrades, modernization of medical facilities, and improved patient care.

VC Dr. Agarwal also briefed the Governor on ongoing development projects on campus, including the expansion of academic buildings, improved laboratory facilities, and the incorporation of advanced technologies in teaching and diagnostics. He also outlined future plans aimed at further strengthening academic and clinical training.

The Vice Chancellor said that special emphasis is being placed on updated curriculum, practical training, and exposure to modern medical practices to make medical and paramedical students more competent, efficient, and industry-relevant. These initiatives will enable students to pursue successful careers and effectively contribute to healthcare.

VC Dr. Agarwal said that the Governor listened attentively to these initiatives and encouraged the University to continue its efforts to further promote academic activities and benefit students. He also underlined that modern campus facilities and the knowledge gained during studies play a vital role in shaping students' careers and future success.
