Health Camp Flags Joint Pain, High BP among Elderly
A two-day multidisciplinary health camp was organised at Hari Om Seva Dal under the Seva Sankalp campaign, with 62 elderly persons receiving free medical and dental check-ups.
Rohtak, October 6, 2026: A two-day multidisciplinary health camp was organised at Hari Om Seva Dal under the Seva Sankalp campaign, with 62 elderly persons receiving free medical and dental check-ups.
The camp was led by Dr Manjunath B.C., Head, Department of Public Health Dentistry, PGIDS. Specialists, including Dr Harshit, Dr Kalpana Sangwan, Dr Abhishek and Dr Sandeep, provided examinations, treatment, medicines and health counselling.
Joint pain was reported in nearly 50 per cent of those examined, while 30 per cent were found to have high blood pressure. Anaemia was detected in around 20 per cent of the women.
Dental screening revealed poor oral hygiene in 80 per cent of the elderly, while nearly half required fillings or tooth extraction. Necessary dental procedures were carried out through a mobile dental van.
