H.B.O.T-The Beginning of a Revolution

Ludhiana, August 21, 2013: H.B.O.T or Hyper Baric Oxygen Therapy is the new ground breaking treatment for diseases like Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Non Healing Wound, Diabetic Ulcer, Traumatic Brain Injury and many more such diseases as yet considered `hopeless’. It is based on the simple fact that oxygen is vital for every part of our body to function smoothly.

Usually malfunctioning occurs due to tissue damage because of oxygen deprivation. Hyper Baric Oxygen Therapy restores the oxygen in the tissue and thus restores much of the functioning. In this treatment, the patient is made to lie in a pressurised chamber and made to inhale 100% pure oxygen. Sanjeev Lamba is one of the few people who have taken it upon themselves to provide this facility to people in India. Infect, his is the only H.B.O.T. centre in Punjab. An alumnus of Indian Naval Diving School, Kochi and The Institute of Naval Medicine, Mumbai, he has an experience of 18 years in the field of hyperbaric medicine. Presently he is providing world class hyperbaric services to Ludhanvis at Ved Hospital, Ludhiana.

When asked about his experience so far, Lamba said that during all his travels to various hyperbaric centres across the country as well as abroad, he had learnt that there was a surprising lack of awareness about this therapy. He said many famous personalities such as Michael Jackson and Tiger Woods take this therapy just before their events, the logic being that oxygen flushes out all body systems. This therapy is also very effective for migraine, sleep disorder and other neurological cases where the medicines have no or a very minor role to play.
