Hawan Marks Start of Lower School Course at PTC Sunaria; 1,100 trainees join new training batch

Rohtak, September 19, 2026: The new session of the Lower School Course at the Police Training College (PTC), Sunaria, began with a traditional hawan on Friday.
The ceremony was held under the guidance of PTC IG Ashok Kumar, IPS, with prayers for the trainees’ health, success and bright future.
PTC Superintendent of Police Dhyan Singh, IPS, around 1,100 trainees, and college officers and staff participated in the ceremony. Families of police personnel residing on the PTC campus also joined the hawan.
Officials said the ceremony aimed to create a positive atmosphere and invoke blessings for the new training batch. They stressed that the trainees would shoulder important responsibilities in the police department in the coming years and therefore needed to be equipped with professional training, discipline and a strong sense of duty.
The hawan was performed according to traditional rituals and concluded peacefully. Participants wished the trainees success in their training and future service.
