Bhiwani (Haryana), February 23, 2014: A three day 11th Haryana State level Chess Championship will be held in The Technological Institute of Textile & Science, Bhiwani from March 28 to 30. The championship would go online this year as the viewers can log in to www.indianchess.org to view the matches pairing & results.

Er. Kuldeep Sharma, Secretary General of Haryana Chess Association (HCA) said the championship would be conducted as per the rules of the World Chess Federation and online registration of participants has already been started.

The championship would be held in four categories for both men and women, which included Under-10, Under-14, Under-18 and Open categories. There would be seven rounds for each match as per the swiss system.

The participants securing the top 10 positions in each age group would be the winners. The eight member State team would also represent Haryana in the National Chess Championship to be held in Bikaner in April 2014. The participants would be selected on the basis of their performance in the state level championship.
