Haryana Sports Equipment Provision Scheme 2025–26 to encourage Youth: DC Sachin Gupta
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta informed that the State Government has launched the Haryana Sports Equipment Provision Scheme 2025–26 to encourage youth in rural areas and urban local bodies to participate in sports and stay away from substance abuse.
Rohtak, February 2, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta informed that the State Government has launched the Haryana Sports Equipment Provision Scheme 2025–26 to encourage youth in rural areas and urban local bodies to participate in sports and stay away from substance abuse.
Under this initiative, sports equipment for volleyball, football, basketball, handball, boxing, wrestling, judo, cricket, yoga, and weightlifting will be provided to Gram Panchayats and Municipal Bodies as per prescribed standards.
He added that concerned Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies must submit their requirement in the prescribed proforma to the District Sports Office located at Chhotu Ram Stadium on or before 31 March 2026. The proforma can be obtained from the District Sports Office on any working day.
The Deputy Commissioner clarified that only those Panchayats and Municipal Bodies which have not received similar sports equipment during the last two financial years will be eligible under the scheme.
He appealed to all concerned institutions to submit their demands in time so that this initiative to connect youth with sports and keep them away from drugs can be implemented effectively.
The scheme includes; Volleyball/Football/Handball – 6 balls and nets (where poles exist), Basketball – 6 balls, Boxing – 6 punching bags and 12 pairs of gloves, Wrestling & Judo – 18-piece mat sets with covers, Cricket – complete kit with bats, stumps, balls, pads, gloves, and wicket-keeping gear, Yoga – standard mats and Weightlifting – barbells and plates ranging from 2.5 kg to 20 kg.
