New Delhi/Jalandhar , September 18, 2013: Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda felicitated Neha Rathi, at a function held in Daryapur Kalan village near Sonipat.
Neha Rathi has been recently honoured with Arjun Award by the President of India. Sirsa MP Ashok Tanwar was also present on this occasion.
Congratulating Neha Rathi, Deepender Hooda said that her achievement is a historic achievement, because 39 years ago her father Jagroop Singh Rathi was also honoured with Aurjan Award. Neha Rathi has set an example for the daughters of the country, he said.
Deepender Hooda said that Haryana Government, under the leadership of the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, has framed an innovative Sports Policy to encourage sports in the State. Under this policy Olympic medal winners of Haryana will be awarded Rs. 5 crore, Rs. 3 crore and Rs. 2 crore for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
Neha Rathi and her father were presented ‘Gada’ on this occasion, as mark of respect.
MLA Surender Singh was also present on this occasion.
