Haryana Govt. to implement Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana for the social security and respect of women: CM Nayab Singh Saini

The Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described four pillars of developed India, in which women have an important role. He said that the central government is implementing new schemes every day to empower and strengthen women. The state government has also launched many schemes to empower and economically enrich women. He said that the Sankalp Patra placed before the public during the assembly elections is considered to be like the Gita. The state government is continuously fulfilling the promises made to various sections in the Sankalp Patra.
The Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the cabinet has decided to implement Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana for the social security and respect of women. The scheme will be launched on 25 September 2025 on the birth anniversary of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay. Under this scheme, eligible women will be provided financial assistance of Rs 2,100 per month. Women of Haryana aged 23 years or above on 25 September 2025 will get the benefit of this scheme, which will include both married and unmarried women.
The first phase of the scheme includes those families whose family annual income is less than Rs 1 lakh. The Chief Minister informed that in the coming time, other income groups will also be included in this scheme in a phased manner. To avail the benefits of the scheme, an unmarried woman or the husband of a married woman should be a native of Haryana for the last 15 years. There is no restriction on the number of women in a family under this scheme. If there are 3 women in a family, then all three women will get the benefit.
The Chief Minister said that there are 9 schemes already being run by the government, in which the applicant is already getting the benefit of a higher amount of pension; such applicants will not get the benefit of Lado Laxmi Yojana. He said that patients suffering from stage 3 and 4 cancer (women), patients suffering from listed 54 rare diseases, hemophilia, thalassemia and sickle cell are already getting pension.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the day an unmarried beneficiary completes the age of 45 years; she will automatically become eligible for the Financial Assistance Scheme for Widows and Destitute Women. The day the beneficiary woman will turn 60 years of age, she will automatically become eligible for the Old Age Pension Scheme. The Chief Minister said that in the first phase, about 19-20 lakh women of the state will get the benefit of this scheme. He said that after the cabinet meeting, in the next 6-7 days, we will not only make the gazette notification of the scheme, but will also launch an app. Through this app, eligible beneficiary women can apply for this scheme from home. Every potentially eligible woman will be sent a SMS to apply on that app. The list of all eligible women will be published in all panchayats and wards. All gram sabhas and ward sabhas will have the right to register any objection on the list.
