Haryana Govt. providing up to 85% Subsidy to Promote Beekeeping: DC Sachin Gupta
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta informed that the State Government is providing an 85 percent subsidy on Bee Boxes and Bee Colonies to all categories of applicants in order to promote beekeeping. To protect beekeepers from losses caused by not getting fair prices for honey in the market and to eliminate risks, the government has included honey under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana. He urged all beekeepers to register on time and avail the benefits of this scheme.

Rohtak, October 16, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta informed that the State Government is providing an 85 percent subsidy on Bee Boxes and Bee Colonies to all categories of applicants in order to promote beekeeping. To protect beekeepers from losses caused by not getting fair prices for honey in the market and to eliminate risks, the government has included honey under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana. He urged all beekeepers to register on time and avail the benefits of this scheme.
DC Sachin Gupta stated that under this scheme, each beekeeper can receive benefits for up to 1,000 boxes, with a base price of ₹120 per kilogram of honey, and a maximum sale limit of 30,000 kilograms per year, calculated at 30 kilograms per box. Beekeepers must register on the Madhukranti Portal and the Honey Trade Centre (HTC Portal), for which having a Family ID is mandatory.
The Deputy Commissioner further informed that the benefits of this scheme will be provided to beekeepers who sell honey at the Honey Trade Centre located at Ram Nagar, Kurukshetra (ABDC). Beekeepers must bring at least 500 kilograms of honey to the center for sale. The registration period on the Honey Trade Portal is from December 1 to May 31. Verification of bee boxes will be conducted by the Horticulture Department team between January and June, and the sale period will also remain between January and June.
