Rohtak, May 22, 2026: The fifth convocation ceremony of the Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak is scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 23. The Governor and Chancellor, Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Dr. H.K. Agarwal, the final rehearsal for the ceremony was conducted on Friday, with the participation of the university administration, faculty members, and students. Present on the occasion were Registrar Dr. Roop Singh, Director Dr. S.K. Singhal, Dean Dr. Ashok Chauhan, Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. M.G. Vashishth, DSW Dr. Savita Singhal, CoE Dr. Sukhdev Chandla, Dr. Manjunath, Dr. Varun Arora, and Dr. Umesh, along with HoDs, senior faculty members, medical practitioners, and the students receiving their degrees.

Registrar Dr. Roop Singh informed that degrees will be conferred upon a total of 941 students across various disciplines—including MBBS, BDS, MD/MS, MDS, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Paramedical courses—during this convocation ceremony. Furthermore, 68 meritorious students will be honored with gold medals in recognition of their outstanding academic performance.

Initiating the final rehearsal, Vice-Chancellor Dr. H.K. Agarwal remarked that the convocation ceremony stands as the most prestigious event in the university's calendar. He noted that, beyond representing the culmination of years of arduous dedication by the students, this ceremony also embodies the realization of their parents' cherished dreams. He issued necessary directives regarding stage management, guest protocols, the degree distribution process, discipline, and punctuality.

Director Dr. S.K. Singhal issued instructions to the concerned officials regarding security arrangements, parking facilities, seating arrangements, and the deployment of the medical response team. Dean Dr. Ashok Chauhan and Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. M.G. Vashishth briefed all the faculty members participating in the academic procession regarding the dress code and protocol. The Controller of Examinations, Dr. Sukhdev Chandla, highlighted the precautions to be observed during the distribution of degrees. This convocation ceremony will be broadcast live on the university's website and social media platforms.

Late in the evening, Vice-Chancellor Dr. H.K. Agarwal welcomed the Governor of Haryana, Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh. He presented theGovernor and Chancellor with a bouquet of flowers upon his arrival at MDU this evening.
