Haryana CM to lay foundation stone of Convention Centre at Hisar

New Delhi/Jalandhar, October 15, 2013: Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister, Haryana will lay the foundation stone of a  state-of-the-art Convention Centre at Flamingo Tourist Complex, Hisar  on October 17 at 12 noon. 

The ceremony will be presided over by Ram Kishan Fouji, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Tourism Department, in the gracious presence of  Savitri Jindal, MLA, Hisar, Chakrvrty Sharma, Chairman, Haryana Tourism Corporation, and Vijai Vardhan, Principal Secretary, Tourism Department, Haryana The construction of the Convention Centre is expected to cost Rs. 714.39 lacs and the same  is being funded entirely by the State Government.

Sumita Misra informed that Haryana Tourism Corporation is developing world-class tourism infrastructure, both in public and private sectors across the State. The Haryana Tourism Corporation has previously commissioned prestigious Convention Centres at Surajkund, Faridabad and at Tilyar Lake, Rohtak. The construction of the Convention Centres at Haryana Tourism’s Tourist Complexes at Hodal and Dharuhera has since been completed. The construction work of the Convention Centre at Red Bishop, Panchkula is also in full swing. In the past, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has also given the National Award to Haryana Tourism for Promotion of MICE Tourism in the year 2008-09. www.cityairnews.com
