Chandigarh, December 11, 2025: Dr Monica B Sood, a socio-economic analyst and Ayurveda expert was felicitated for her exemplary contributions to socio-economic development, national leadership, and ground-breaking advancements in Ayurveda led healthcare. Notably, Dr Sood, CEO of Navjivan Group, Chairperson of the National Unity and Security Council (NUSC), global Ayurvedic visionary, socio-economic and geopolitical analyst, and State Convenor, Intellectual Cell, BJP Chandigarh, represents a unique blend of intellect, compassion and strategic leadership.
Dr Sood’s work is distinguished by her ability to merge classical Ayurveda with frontier research, oncology training, and technological innovation. Her multidisciplinary academic foundation, spanning Ayurveda, International Law (LLB), Psychology, Economics and HR (MBA), oncology training from Johns Hopkins and Michigan University, and her ongoing PhD in Tribal Studies, enables her to integrate healthcare, mental wellness, policy and economics into a holistic model for national progress.
As Chairperson of NUSC, Dr Sood is a national advocate for women’s leadership, economic empowerment, national unity, and mental health. Her vision links India’s traditional knowledge systems with emerging technologies including artificial intelligence and quantum science, contributing to India’s evolving global leadership. Her work has earned numerous honours including Global Excellence in Leadership, UK Parliament; Lifetime Achievement Award, Stevie Awards (USA); Bharat Jyoti Award for Holistic Healthcare; Women Leadership in Healthcare, Glory of India Medal.
It is worth noting that Navjivan Group, founded in 1923 by her grandfather, a pioneer in exporting Ayurvedic medicines, has grown into a global healthcare institution under her leadership.
