Harbhajan Boosts Arora’s Campaign with Huge Roadshow Turnout in Jawahar Nagar Camp and Aarti Chowk
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP and celebrated Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh on Monday evening further intensified the campaign in favour of his colleague, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora, AAP’s candidate for the Ludhiana (West) Assembly by-election. Harbhajan Singh led two vibrant roadshows in the city — one at Jawahar Nagar Camp and another at Aarti Chowk — both of which witnessed an overwhelming response from party workers and local residents.

Ludhiana, June 9, 2025: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP and celebrated Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh on Monday evening further intensified the campaign in favour of his colleague, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora, AAP’s candidate for the Ludhiana (West) Assembly by-election. Harbhajan Singh led two vibrant roadshows in the city — one at Jawahar Nagar Camp and another at Aarti Chowk — both of which witnessed an overwhelming response from party workers and local residents.
The roadshows turned into a sea of enthusiastic supporters waved AAP flags and raised spirited slogans in favour of Harbhajan Singh, Sanjeev Arora, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Locals welcomed the roadshows with warmth and affection, showering flower petals and cheering along the campaign route.
Addressing the crowd from an open vehicle, Harbhajan Singh urged the electorate of Ludhiana (West) to vote decisively for Sanjeev Arora. He emphasized that Arora has already proven his commitment to Ludhiana’s development and will bring about “ten times more progress” if elected to the Assembly. “Your vote is your power,” He told the people. He said, “Come out and cast your vote, even if it is hot. Don’t go out for vacation on polling day. Higher polling means greater development.”
Harbhajan Singh added that every citizen must take the election seriously, as the outcome would determine the city's growth trajectory for the future.
In his brief but heartfelt address, Sanjeev Arora expressed gratitude to Harbhajan Singh for his support and thanked party workers and residents for their overwhelming backing. He appealed to the voters to ensure they cast their votes on June 19, the polling day.
The campaign event also saw the participation of Punjab Cabinet Ministers Mohinder Bhagat and Dr. Ravjot Singh, MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi, and senior party leaders including Kapil Kumar Sonu, Kulwant Singh Pandori, Kimti Lal Bhagat, Manjinder Singh Lalpura, Sarpanch Gurdeep Singh, Ashwinder Jandu, Santosh Kataria, Surinder Singh Jandu, Gagan Khanna, and Ritesh Arora.
During the roadshows, an atmosphere of excitement surrounded cricketer-turned-politician Harbhajan Singh. Many people, especially youth and cricket fans, were seen eagerly approaching him for autographs. As the convoy moved through the crowded lanes, Harbhajan cheerfully obliged fans, signing autographs. His presence added a celebrity charm to the campaign, drawing enthusiastic cheers and further energizing the supporters gathered along the route.
