‘Har Booth Congress Mazboot’ Campaign: Preparatory meeting held under leadership of Dewan

Ludhiana, August 4, 2026: A meeting of office-bearers and workers of the Ludhiana West Assembly constituency was convened at Sarabha Nagar under the leadership of former President of District Congress Ludhiana (Urban) and former Chairman of the Punjab Large Industrial Development Board, Pawan Dewan, to review preparations for the programme being organised under the Congress party’s “Har Booth Congress Mazboot” campaign. Notably, the programme will be addressed jointly by the former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and AICC in Charge Punjab Congress Affairs Bhupesh Baghel and Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring. 
The programme is scheduled for August 6, at 10:00 AM at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan, near Bharat Nagar Chowk, Ludhiana. Dewan urged party office-bearers and workers to attend in large numbers along with their supporters.
Addressing the gathering, Dewan said the people of Punjab are ready to bring the Congress party back to power in the state and are eagerly awaiting the next Assembly elections. He alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party government has pushed Punjab towards lawlessness and economic distress.
Dewan stated that criminal elements are carrying out incidents regularly, creating fear and insecurity among the people. The deteriorating law-and-order situation and the government’s alleged anti-industry policies are also harming Punjab’s industrial sector, he added.
Dewan accused the present government of relying heavily on advertisements and hollow claims, saying people cannot be misled for long. “The people of Punjab have now seen through the reality of this government,” he remarked.
Criticising the BJP-led government at the Centre, Dewan alleged that the country’s wealth and resources are increasingly being handed over to two industrial groups. Dewan said people are deeply disappointed with the policies of both the BJP and AAP and are looking towards the Congress party with hope for a better future.
