Jalandhar, February 7, 2023: Doaba College, Jalandhar organized DBT, Ministry of Science and Technology sponsored Gyan Ganga -2023@DCJ: Create, innovate and celebrate on 7th Feb 2023 which was attended by more than 600 participants from 24 Schools. The theme of the event was ‘Decoding Panchtatva: The Science of Well Being’. 

The Inaugural Session began with the lighting of Knowledge lamp by Chief Guest Dhruv Mittal, Treasurer, Doaba College Managing Committee, Dr. Pardeep Bhandari, Principal, Doaba College, Prof. KK Yadav and Prof. Arvind Nanda, Programme Director, Dr. Rajiv Khosla, HoD, Biotechnology and Coordinator. It was followed by a floral welcome of the Chief Guest by principal and other staff members of the college. Dr. Rajiv Khosla, in his opening remarks welcomed the chief guest and the students of different schools. Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari formally welcomed all and discussed the importance of Panchtatva. He referred young school children from various schools as the future of nation who will lead the country in coming decades.He emphasized on the tradition of deep rootedness in Doaba College. He focused on the importance of happiness in life. He motivated students to add tiny successes together to make them bigger in near future. The events were grouped under five major streams - Vigyan Ganga, Tech Ganga, Sanchar Ganga, Amrit Ganga and Vigyan Sandesh. Several events from the five streams such as InQUIZitive Buzz, Vigyan Sketch Pad: Arting Science - Pre-prepared Nail Art, Mehndi, Poster and Rangoli, Vigyan JAM : Just a Minute, Vigyan Guru, Idea Factory : From Concept to Product - Entrepreneurship Potential, WTW : Waste to Wealth, Vigyan Digi Collage, Vigyan Shodh, Vigyan - in - Focus : Photography, Vigyan MOJO, Masala Lab and Flower Decoration were held. Stalls of different Departments were laid out near Virendra Auditorium.

The Evening Session began with the dance performances by students. Several events from the five streams such as Crack the Code, Vigyan Meme, Tech Games : Online Chess, Temple Run, Raabta-e-Science, Vigyan Patarkar, Vigyan TV news,  Vigyan Vigyapan : Ad - Mad Show, Vigyan Documentary, Masala Lab and Science on Stage : Skit and Dance were held. It led to announcement of Results and Prize distribution for all events. The Valedictory session concluded with the National Anthem.
