Guru Nanak Dev University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Karamjeet Singh felicitates KMV’s Faculty Members for guiding PhD Scholars
The Vice Chancellor lauded the commitment of KMV in fostering a robust research environment

Jalandhar, July 21, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) distinguished faculty members, who are actively guiding PhD scholars, were felicitated by the Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, Prof. Dr. Karamjeet Singh for their significant contributions to research and their pivotal role in nurturing future academics.
The felicitation ceremony took place during the presence of Sh. Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal and other members of KMV Managing Committee acknowledged the dedication and scholarly pursuits of KMV’s faculty, whose guidance is instrumental in the successful completion of doctoral research by numerous students. It is pertinent to mention that 13 faculty members from KMV were felicitated during the ceremony and one faculty member amongst them is also guiding a post doctoral scholar under her supervision. The Vice Chancellor, during the event, lauded the commitment of KMV in providing the best environment to these faculty members to achieve academic excellence and KMV’s consistent efforts in fostering a robust research environment.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that KMV is immensely proud of its faculty members who are not only pursuing cutting-edge research themselves but are also shaping the next generation of researchers. This honour from Guru Nanak Dev University's Vice Chancellor is a testament to their hard work, intellectual prowess and unwavering commitment to academic mentorship. She further maintained that KMV has always prioritised research and innovation, and our faculty are the pillars of this endeavour. KMV has a strong tradition of promoting research, with its faculty actively engaged in various national and international projects and publications. Several faculty members hold prestigious research grants and have patents to their credit, further highlighting their impactful research endeavours. The honoured faculty members expressed their gratitude to the KMV for the recognition and reiterated their commitment to advancing knowledge through rigorous research and dedicated mentorship.
Prof. Dwivedi concluded by saying that this recognition reinforces KMV's standing as a leading institution in higher education, particularly in the realm of research and doctoral guidance.
