Guru Kashi University Signs MoU with IIT Bombay

Talwandi Sabo, October 6, 2015: This is to announce that Guru Kashi University is tied up Spoken Tutorials IIT Bombay which is an NMEICT, MHRD, Govt.of India initiative to enhance the skill set of students both Under Graduate and Post Graduates. On 6th October 2015 a partnership agreement to roll out the courses in the GKU was signed. A mega awareness session with faculty and students was organized by IIT Bombay’s Spoken Tutorial National Coordinator Ms. Shyama Iyer and Punjab State Training Manager Ms. Pooja Singh addressed the stage. From the University side Chairman Gurlabh Singh Sidhu, Gen. Sec. Er. Sukhwinder Singh, MD Sukhraj Singh Sidhu and Vice Chancellor Dr. N.S. Malhi exchanged the documents with the IIT Bombay team.

Madam Iyer said that today it is necessary to introduce technology enable learning in the teaching. The tutorials are an easy self learning of audio visual method to acquire knowledge and training on software like Linux, Latex, C, C++, Java, PHP and Blender for Animation and many more. Along with this certificates will be awarded to all the students who undergo the training under this project.

Gurlabh Singh Sidhu, Chairman assured that with the help of this exchange programme students will be more skilled to mark up the expectations of today’s corporate world.

Dr. N.S. Malhi Vice Chancellor stated that the above mention programmes will definitely be included in the syllabus of the students to improve the course content and performance. This will also help the students to get early and appropriate jobs.

Apart from other Dean and Directors Pro Vice Chancellor of GKU Dr. Jagpal Singh, Dean Academic Dr. B.S. Dhaliwal was present in the programme. Prof. Ashwani Sethi Deputy Director, Dr. G.S. Brar and Prof. Sukhdevinder Singh Kaurra PRO did praiseworthy job during the correspondence and conduction of the programme.
