Talwandi Sabo, October 1, 2015: Guru Kashi University Talwandi Sabo organised Inter College Wrestling Competition in the Campus. The Programme was inaugurated by Dr.A.K.Kansal, Dean Education along with Director Sports of the University Dr.Kewal Singh. Dr.Ravinder Sumal, HoD Physical Education welcomed all the staff and participants. Dr.Ravi stated that around 20 students participated from all the constituents Colleges in different weight categories. In the overall performance Physical Education College bagged 1st position and the Agriculture College emerged as runner up.
In the valedictory ceremony Dr. Kansal and Dr. Kewal Singh honored the students with certificates and stated while congratulating them that student should play with full sportsmen spirit which will help him a lot to rise in the life. Prof. Gurdan Singh, Prof. Ravi Kumar, Prof. K.P.S. Mahi and Prof. Surinder Kaur Mahi did praiseworthy efforts to make the event successful.
Dr. N.S. Malhi Vice Chancellor GKU appreciated the series of activities conducted by Dr. Ravi and his department. He also added that student should participate maximum in sports activities along with the academics for overall personality development.
