Winners of Intramural Cross Country held at Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo on Friday.
Talwandi Sabo, February 13, 2015: Physical Education College of Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo organised a Intramural Cross Country for the physical education students. During this cross country boys covered distance of 12.5 Km. and girls covered 5 Km.
Dr.Narinder Singh, Director Finance and Dr. Tarlok Singh Sandhu, Director Sports of GKU flag off the race along with the other officials. Around 60 students participated in this event.
Mandeep Singh, Jagseer Singh and Jaspal Singh all students of 2nd semester stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd among the boys and in the girls Satveer Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur both student of 2nd Semester and Gurwinder Kaur 6th Semester were declared 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. After the race the winners were honored by Director Sports and staff members of Physical Education College.
Managing Director Sukhraj Singh Sidhu appreciated the efforts by Dr. Ravinder Sumal and his team, which will keep the students physically and mentally fit. Such activities are highly required for the students along with their curriculum for overall personality development, he added.
Coordinator of this activity Prof. K.P.S. Mahi, Prof. Satpal Singh, Prof. Gurdeep Singh, Prof. Manjeet Singh and Prof. Surinder Kaur Mahi did excellent job during this activity.
