Gunjeet Ruchi Bawa Supports 390 Students Ahead of Exams Through ‘Nanhe Kadam’ at School of Eminence, Dholewal

Ludhiana, September 3, 2026: Turning the Nanhe Kadam initiative into a meaningful blend of educational support and child rights awareness, Gunjeet Ruchi Bawa, Vice Chairperson, Punjab Child Rights Commission, interacted with students at the School of Eminence, Dholewal, where cardboard writing boards and pens were distributed among 390 students ahead of their upcoming examinations. The cardboards were sponsored by Aas Ehsaas NGO.
The initiative aimed to provide students with practical support while also reinforcing the importance of education and confidence during the examination period. During the interaction, Bawa sensitized students about their rights, safety and responsibilities, encouraging them to remain aware and speak up whenever they face any form of abuse, harassment or distress.
She also highlighted the Child Helpline 1098, urging students to remember the helpline as an important support system and seek assistance whenever required.
Speaking on the occasion, Bawa said, “Examinations are an important milestone for every student, but success is not only about marks. Our children must also know their rights, understand how to seek help and have the confidence to speak up. Through Nanhe Kadam, we want to support children both in their education and in their journey towards becoming aware and empowered individuals.”
