Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Ludhiana, organised an academic discussion session on the Union Budget 2026–27 under the aegis of the Department of Business Management. The event was attended by students of B.Com, BBA, and MBA programmes, with the objective of developing a deeper understanding of the budget’s sector-wise impact and policy direction.

Ludhiana, February 2, 2026: Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Ludhiana, organised an academic discussion session on the Union Budget 2026–27 under the aegis of the Department of Business Management. The event was attended by students of B.Com, BBA, and MBA programmes, with the objective of developing a deeper understanding of the budget’s sector-wise impact and policy direction.
 
The programme began with an introductory address by Dr. Harminder Kaur, Head, Department of Business Management. A series of presentations on the Union Budget were delivered by Dr. Parvinder Singh, Dr. Shallu Sood, Dr. Ripudaman Kaur, Prof. Sukhpreet Kaur, Prof. Ramandeep Kaur, Prof. Priya Arora, Dr. Damini Chhabra, Prof. Gurleen Kaur, and Prof. Neha Erry.
 
The presentations covered key areas of the Union Budget, namely major strategic focus areas, overall industry outlook, defence and railways, employment generation, taxation reforms, education and social sector, agriculture, healthcare, and infrastructure and transport, respectively.
 
Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT, appreciated the efforts of the Department of Business Management and the faculty members for successfully organising the session. He highlighted that such academic initiatives play a significant role in enhancing students’ analytical abilities and in linking theoretical concepts with current economic developments.
 
The session concluded with a comprehensive summary of the Union Budget 2026–27 presented by Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT, followed by an interactive quiz session conducted by Prof. Priya Arora. The event proved to be informative and engaging, encouraging active student participation and critical discussion.
