Gujarati Entertainment Shines with CM Fadnavis in Attendance
‘Kasumbo’ Dominates with 9 Awards, Stars Deliver Power-Packed Performances
Mumbai (Anil Bedag) : The 22nd Transmedia Gujarati Screen and Stage Awards 2024 were held with grandeur at Mumbai’s Hotel Sahara Star, marked by the special presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis— the first appearance by a major state leader at this event. Presented by the historic “Mumbai Samachar,” the ceremony honored 55 artists and technicians from Gujarati films, television, and theatre. Special recognitions were given to Sneha Desai, singers Sanjay and Parth Ojha, and singer Bhumi Trivedi, while veterans Apra Mehta and Utkarsh Mazumdar received Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Star performer Vikram Thakor captivated audiences with a rare live act. A highlight of the night, “Kasumbo” emerged as the top winner with nine awards, while Hitu Kanodia and Neelam Panchal won Best Actor and Best Actress respectively.
