Ludhiana, July 01, 2025: To mark the GST Day, the office of Assistant Commissioner State Taxes, Ludhiana-3 carried out a comprehensive survey of unregistered dealers across the jurisdictional limits of area pertains to Ludhiana-3. 


On the directions of the ACST Shinee Singh the teams surveyed in the pockets like Ghumar Mandi, Mall Road, Akalgarh Market, Meena Bazaar, South City, Aarti chowk and adjoining areas, Feroze Gandhi Market, Mata Rani Chwok, Ferozepur Road, Haibowal Road, Bahadurke Road, Noorewala Road, Rahon Road, Jallandhar Bye Pass area, were surveyed."This initiative underscores the department's commitment to ensuring tax compliance and broadening the tax base" said Shinee Singh.

The ACST said that the survey aimed to identify and bring within the tax net businesses that are currently operating outside the GST framework as unregistered dealers. By doing so, the department seeks to promote a culture of tax compliance and fairness among all stakeholders, she added.

Urging traders the ACST said that on GST Day, all of us reaffirming our commitment to creating a transparent and efficient tax regime. She said that efforts were on to register the unregistered dealers under GST ACT, 2017, which is the part of ongoing initiatives to ensure that all businesses contribute their fair share to the nation's development. She urge all businesses to register and comply with GST laws, thereby supporting the growth of our economy."
