Grenade Attack Outside Bharatiya Janata Party Office Exposes Rising Terror Threat in Punjab; Terrorists Also Tried to Attack Me: Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan

Ludhiana, April 2, 2026: National BJP leader, Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan strongly condemned the shocking grenade attack outside the office of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Sector 37 Chandigarh and launched a sharp and uncompromising attack on the rapidly collapsing law and order situation in Punjab under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Grewal wrote on his X platform that the grenade attack outside the BJP office is not merely an attack on a political office but a direct assault on democracy national security and the dignity of India. He said the open claim of responsibility by Khalistani terrorist Sukhjinder Singh Babbar exposes the alarming reality that Khalistani terror outfits including Babbar Khalsa International and other extremist networks are once again trying to spread fear violence and instability in Punjab.
Grewal said that the incident in which two persons allegedly arrived on a two-wheeler and hurled a crude bomb or improvised explosive device outside the BJP office around 5 pm before fleeing the spot clearly reflects the shocking collapse of security arrangements in the region. He said that whether the blast was low intensity or not is not the real issue. The real issue is that terrorists and anti India elements are now operating with dangerous confidence while the Punjab Government appears weak ineffective and completely incapable of controlling extremist forces.
Grewal said that under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann the law and order situation in Punjab has deteriorated to an alarming level and separatist and extremist networks appear to be regaining space. He said that the state government has miserably failed to crush the growing nexus of anti national forces trying to destabilize Punjab and challenge the unity and sovereignty of India.
Grewal further revealed that he himself recently faced a highly suspicious and disturbing surveillance incident near his residence in Village Bhukhri Kalan after continuously exposing extremist propaganda networks. He said that on 27 March 2026 a suspicious Toyota Innova vehicle allegedly followed his vehicle for a considerable distance and suddenly fled at high speed when he along with his security gunman stepped out near the gate of his residence. He said that the same suspicious vehicle was again noticed repeatedly moving on the road leading towards his village which has raised serious apprehension that unknown individuals may be conducting surveillance of his residence and movements with possible malicious intentions.
Grewal said that he has already submitted a detailed representation to the Director General of Police Punjab and the Commissioner of Police Ludhiana demanding immediate registration of an FIR a thorough investigation by senior police officers and enhanced security arrangements.
Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan said that for many years he has consistently raised his voice through his X platform as well as through national and international newspapers media and digital forums against anti India propaganda networks separatist elements and extremist organisations attempting to undermine the unity integrity and sovereignty of India.
He said that despite repeated threats intimidation and abusive messages from hostile elements he has never bowed down and will continue to stand firmly for the unity sovereignty and dignity of Bharat. Grewal warned that terrorism separatism and anti- national conspiracies will never silence nationalist voices and demanded that the Punjab Government must immediately dismantle the networks of Khalistani terrorist organisations operating inside the state before the situation becomes even more dangerous.
