Jalandhar, September 11, 2025: A grand felicitation ceremony was organized at the 2 Punjab NCC Battalion under the leadership of Colonel Vinod Joshi to honour NCC contingent that had participated in the Independence Day Parade held at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandhar.

Col Joshi commended the cadets for their discipline, dedication, and spirited participation in the parade. He appreciated their contribution in showcasing the true essence of patriotism and teamwork.
 
During the Independence Day celebrations, Tarunpreet Singh Sond, Minister for Tourism and Cultural affairs graced the parade as the Chief Guest and lauded the contribution of the young cadets. Extending his greetings, NCC Jalandhar Group Commander Brigadier A.K. Bhardwaj conveyed his best wishes to the cadets for a bright and successful future. He conveyed his heartfelt congratulations and wished the cadets a bright future, encouraging them to uphold the values of the NCC and continue serving the nation with pride. The cadets represented various reputed institutions of the region, including: Doaba College – 8 cadets, Lyallpur Khalsa College – 6 cadets, MC Polytechnic – 6 cadets, DAV University – 4 cadets, DAV College – 4 cadets, Apeejay College – 2 cadets, CT College – 2 cadets, MC ITI – 2, Sports and Arts College – 1 cadet. On this occasion, Col Joshi lauded the commitment of cadets and urged them to continue excelling in academics, sports, and social service alongside their NCC training.
 
The event highlighted the dedication, discipline, and patriotic spirit of NCC cadets, reaffirming their role as torchbearers of national pride. Cadets were also felicitated with Commanding Officer commendation certificates. The felicitation ceremony concluded with the distribution of NCC track suits and high tea to the cadets leaving the cadets inspired and motivated to aim higher in their journey as responsible citizens and future leaders.
