Grand Celebrations to be Held on November 7 to Mark 150 Years of the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’: DC Sachin Gupta

Rohtak, November 6, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta directed officials to complete preparations for the grand celebrations to be organized on November 7 to mark the completion of 150 years of the national song Vande Mataram. He instructed that all offices in the district, educational institutions, Anganwadi centres, the Sports Department, and Police Department offices must ensure the organization of programmes dedicated to the national song. On this occasion, collective singing of Vande Mataram will take place at 10 AM, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join the event live to deliver his message.

             DC Sachin Gupta was issuing these directions to officials during the Samadhan Shivir held at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat. He informed that Additional Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar has been appointed as the nodal officer for the event, and Shubham, OSD to the Divisional Commissioner, has also been deputed to assist in monitoring preparations. He said that district-level as well as municipal-level ceremonies will be organized across the district to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram.

             The Deputy Commissioner stated that the district-level ceremony will be held at Tagore Auditorium, Maharshi Dayanand University, at 10 AM, where Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma will be the chief guest and former minister Manish Kumar Grover will be the special guest. In addition, three other programmes will be organized in the district. In the Sampla, Zila Parishad Chairperson Manju Hooda; in Meham, Deepak Niwas Hooda; and in Kalanaur, former Mayor Renu Dabla will participate as chief guest.

             Issuing instructions to all departments, DC Sachin Gupta said that each office, institution, Anganwadi centre, and Gram Panchayat must ensure arrangements for the collective singing of the national song Vande Mataram at 10 AM on November 7, along with the live broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address. He instructed the Development & Panchayat Department to ensure that the programme is conducted in all village chaupals. The LDM was directed to ensure that the event is organized in all bank branches as well.

             Among those present on the occasion included ADC and CEO, Zila Parishad, Narendra Kumar; SDM Meham Mukund Tanwar; City Magistrate Ankit Kumar; OSD to Divisional Commissioner Shubham; DSP Dalip Singh; DMC Jitender Singh; DDPO Rajpal Chahal; and other officials of concerned departments.
