Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar to Celebrate 150 Years of Academic Excellence

Jalandhar, December 16, 2025: The Alumni Association of Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar is set to celebrate a historic milestone as the institution completes 150 glorious years of academic excellence. The grand commemorative event will be held on December 20 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the school campus.

Dr. S.P.S. Grover, President of the Alumni Association, shared that the celebration marks 150 years of the School of Eminence, an institution that has been instrumental in shaping generations of students and contributing immensely to society through education, discipline, and values since its establishment in 1872.

The event will be graced by Vaneet Dhir, Mayor of Jalandhar, as the Chief Guest, while Nitin Kohli, Election In-Charge of Jalandhar Central, will attend as the Special Guest. Adding further dignity to the occasion, Dr. Barjinder Singh Hamdard, Chief Editor of the Ajit Group of Newspapers and former Rajya Sabha Member, will grace the celebration as a Special Guest.

A special highlight of the celebration will be the presence of Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions, a proud alumnus of Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Ladowali Road. As an alumnus, he has actively contributed to the organisation of the event and continues to support initiatives that strengthen the institution’s legacy.

Expressing his sentiments, Charanjit Singh Channi said, “This institution laid the foundation of my values and vision.
