Govt. Home Science College felicitates women achievers and entrepreneurs on International Women’s Day

Chandigarh, March 8, 2022: Women Achievers and Entrepreneurs from all walks of life participated in a panel discussion at Govt. Home Science College to celebrate International Woman’s Day. Todays event was all about sharing the life experiences and success stories of these women and how they overcame all odds to achieve their goals.

Principal Prof. Sudha Katyal was the chief guest of the event. Among the speakers were Ms Kaveri Ahuja Singh, an alumna of this college who runs a famous designer studio currently. Ms Ruchi Narula - Mrs Universe India , 2017 also shared the obstacles faced by her in following her passion and how she came to realise her dream. Ms Deepali, an engineer by profession who started her own brand Yuvanya in 2017 that provides 100% natural and chemical free products across 13 countries now also spoke about the 5 Ps of patience, passion, positive attitude, perseverance and pure intention to pursue one's dream.  The youngest entrepreneur for the day, Ms Guntas running a home bakery by the name of GN Bakehouse also inspired the audience stating that age was just a number and it shouldn’t deter anyone from following one's passion and being independent at a young age. Mrs Sapna Gill , owner of Sunbeam, shared her vision on how to excel both at home as well as at work.

Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal addressed the audience with her inspiring words urging all women to believe in oneself , Dream Big and stop not till the goal is achieved. She also felicitated and honoured all the women achievers and entrepreneurs  along with SBI Chief Manager Astha Gupta.
