Governor visited Medical College Tanda and inquired about condition of Forest Minister
Dharamshala, November 8, 2019: Governor Bandaru Dattatraya today met Forest Minister Govind Singh Thakur who is under treatment in Dr.Rajendra Prasad medical college and hospital, Tanda in district Kangra and enquired about his well-being. He wished him a speedy recovery. On this occasion, while talking to the senior faculty of the medical college, the Governor said that despite shortage of staff and infrastructure, the doctors and non-medical staff were providing better services to the patients, which was commendable. He said that he had experienced that people of the state have more faith in government hospitals, which shows the dedication of doctors in serving the suffering humanity. He said that he has experienced that people of the state have more faith in getting treatment through government hospitals, which shows the dedication of the doctors for humanity in the state. He expressed happiness that this institute is ranked 31st among 600 medical institutes in the country and that the institution has ranked first in North India. He directed to start a cleanliness drive in the hospital premises and put up hoardings related to it. He also instructed to increase yoga activities in the hospital and college. Earlier, the governor visited various wards of the hospital and interacted with patients. The doctors made the governor aware of their problems and demands. The Principal of Medical College Tanda, Dr.Bhanu Awasthi informed about the infrastructure of this institute and the status of the ongoing developmental project.
