Governor Plants Sapling at Gaggal Airport on Yatri Seva Diwas
Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today planted a sapling at the Herbal Garden of Gaggal Airport in Kangra to mark Yatri Seva Diwas, organised by the Airport Authority of India (AAI).

Dharamshala, Sep 16, 2025: Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today planted a sapling at the Herbal Garden of Gaggal Airport in Kangra to mark Yatri Seva Diwas, organised by the Airport Authority of India (AAI).
The Governor highlighted the importance of such initiatives in promoting environmental conservation alongside infrastructure development. He urged people to actively participate in afforestation drives, stressing that protecting the environment is vital for the well-being of present and future generations.
Governor Shukla said he was pleased to be part of the programme and expressed hope that it would inspire passengers and stakeholders to contribute towards creating a greener and cleaner environment.
Deputy Commissioner Kangra Hemraj Berwa, Gaggal Airport Director Dhirendra Singh, officials of the AAI, and local staff were also present on the occasion.
The Governor’s plantation drive was widely appreciated as a symbolic step towards ecological balance and sustainable development in and around the airport.
