Governor Acharya Devvrat honors women who have made noteworthy contributions in various fields

Acharya Devvrat, Governor of Gujarat and Maharashtra, has said that women play a vital role in enhancing the nation's pride. Women are contributing to the nation's progress by showcasing their talent and skills in various fields. Acharya Devvrat was addressing the gathering after honoring women who have made significant contributions in various fields at an awards ceremony in Rohtak.

Rohtak, September 23, 2025: Acharya Devvrat, Governor of Gujarat and Maharashtra, has said that women play a vital role in enhancing the nation's pride. Women are contributing to the nation's progress by showcasing their talent and skills in various fields. Acharya Devvrat was addressing the gathering after honoring women who have made significant contributions in various fields at an awards ceremony in Rohtak.

He said that today, India's daughters are not only flying fighter planes but also setting records in every field. Referring to convocations, he said that whenever he attends convocation, eight out of ten gold medalists are girls. He said that God created the universe, but it is women who give it momentum. He said that a mother is not only a mother but also a creator. It is the mother who imparts values and thoughts to her children.

Governor Acharya Devvrat said that in the Vedic period, there was no discrimination between men and women, but during the period of slavery, women's dignity was compromised. It was because of the country's slavery that women were not allowed to leave their homes, and the practice of purdah also began. During that period, women were deprived of opportunities commensurate with their talents, but Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati fought to restore women's rights. In his message, Dayanand Saraswati stated that in homes where women are respected, gods reside.

At the event, Governor Acharya Devvrat honored women who have made significant contributions in various fields, including BBC journalist Dr. Sarvapriya Sangwan, IPS Dr. Rajshree Singh, nutritionist Nikita Garg, Acharya Sukama, and Prof. Sonia Malik. 

Dadri MLA Sunil Sangwan, Rohtak MLA BB Batra, MD LPS Bossard  Rajesh Jain, youth BJP leader Himanshu Grover, IAS officer Dharmendra Singh, MDU VC Prof. Rajveer Singh, DLC SUPVA VC Dr. Amit Arya, Pt. BDS Health University VC Prof. HK Agarwal, Rohtak SDM Ashish Kumar, social worker Sampooran Singh and other dignitaries were present at the programme.
