Government will build multi-storey courthouse building in Palampur: Butel

Dharamsala/Palampur, September 12, 2023: Ashish Butel, the Chief Parliamentary Secretary for Urban Development and Education, announced during a program organised by the Bar Association Palampur on Tuesday that an additional district and session court has recently been established in Palampur. In accordance with the directions of the Honorable High Court, the government will provide all possible assistance to construct a multi-storey courthouse building here as per the demand of the Bar Association. The officials of the Public Works Department have also been instructed to prepare the construction plan for the new building. The work for the transfer of land for this purpose will also be completed soon. He assured full cooperation for the construction of chambers for the lawyers.
 
He said that in order to increase parking facilities in Palampur city, instructions have been given to identify small parking spaces in the city and start the facility. He said that more than 500 electrified street lights will be installed on all major roads and locations in the Palampur Municipal area.
