I have gone through deeply the news that government is planning to review the scrapping of diesel and petrol vehicles in 10-15 years.

I appreciate on behalf of Federation of All India Automobile Spare Parts Dealers Association (FAIASPDA), Ludhiana Auto Dealers Association (LADA) and Federation of Auto Parts Manufacturers FAPMA) that if this proposal is taken into consideration very seriously, it will solve some problems of unemployment.

Now-a-days, the vehicle manufacturers are producing very very good quality and I have seen many diesel vehicles that not even a single engine part has been replaced.  If the engine part has got no problem, then there is no possibility for creating the pollution.

I have found even petrol vehicles, there is no replacement in engine spares for 10-12 years.

In toto, if the policy is reconsidered, then lot of unemployment will be recovered.

For example, in Ludhiana, more than 2000 factories are producing spares parts, out of which only 3% are supplying spare parts to the Vehicle Manufacturers.  Rest of 97% are supplying spare parts to the shopkeepers and shopkeepers sell the spare parts to the auto repair workshop.  So -

a)  Lot of employment will be covered by the factories
b) The shopkeepers have also to employ the workers &
c)  Repair workshop also needs lot of employees to carry on the garage

Looking into all the above facts, lot of unemployed will be getting the jobs in factories, shops and auto garage.

In addition to this, the government will be benefitted to get the income tax from the employees who got the jobs in factories/shops/auto garages.

In the last 4-5 years, in Kolkata, the wholesale market 30% shops have been closed, as there is no sale of replacement parts.

Once again, it is my submission on behalf of Federation of All India Automobile Spare Parts Dealers Association (FAIASPDA), Ludhiana Auto Dealers Association (LADA) and Federation of Auto Parts Manufacturers FAPMA) and from the unemployed people to implement this new idea at the earliest by government.
