Government Home Science College Chandigarh celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

Chandigarh, October 31, 2022: Government Home Science College celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on Monday. 
Programme Officers of NSS Unit addressed the audience on the importance of unity and the significant role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel-Iron Man of India. They further highlighted that the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is observed as National Unity Day. He played an important role in uniting India and was amongst one of the most prominent leaders of the Indian Independence Movement. Furthermore, students and the staff took an oath during a Pledge taking ceremony to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation. NSS Wing of the college also organized Unity Run starting from front college gate to backside of college gate covering more than 500 kms. 
Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, urged everyone to preserve the unity and integrity of the nation.
