Sony SAB is set to immerse audiences in its latest mythological offering Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki - Ganesh Kartikey, a divine epic that brings forth the untold stories of Lord Shiv (Mohit Malik) and Goddess Parvati’s (Shrenu Parikh) sons, Lord Ganesh (Ekansh Kathrotiya) and Lord Kartikey (Subhan Khan). This grand saga goes on to explore the celestial family’s bonds, struggles, and triumphs and is filled with deep human emotions.
In the opening episodes, viewers witness the rebirth of Sati as Goddess Parvati and the rise of the formidable Asur Tarkasur, who learns that only Lord Kartikey can end his reign. As Lord Shiv and Goddess Parvati unite, Lord Kartikey is born, but such is the power of his divine energy that it divides into six Kritikas, who nurture and raise him until he finally reunites with his real mother after twelve years. Meanwhile, Indra (Karan Suchak), desperate to reclaim his throne from Tarkasur, manipulates Lord Kartikey to focus solely on his mission of destruction, sowing distance between him and Goddess Parvati by convincing him that he is merely a weapon of destiny and she doesn’t consider him her son. Torn between divine duty and maternal love, Goddess Parvati longs to bring Lord Kartikey home to Kailash, and Lord Kartikey arrives carrying resentment toward his mother - a rift that Indra continues to deepen. Heartbroken and lonely, Goddess Parvati creates her son Dandpani (Ayudh Bhanushali), in the hope that he will mend the strained bond and bring Lord Kartikey closer to her, but just as she seeks solace, Kailash comes under attack, forcing Lord Kartikey and Dandpani to come face to face and stand united to protect their divine home, setting the stage for an epic confrontation and a journey that will redefine family, love, and destiny.
Shrenu Parikh, playing the role of Goddess Parvati in Ganesh Kartikey shared, “As an actor, these episodes have been especially challenging yet deeply fulfilling for me. Goddess Parvati’s journey here is layered with emotions her hope, her heartbreak, her loneliness, and her unconditional love for Lord Kartikey. Playing her pain of being misunderstood as a mother, and then her strength in creating Dandpani as a way to heal that bond, required me to go beyond just performance and truly feel her turmoil. It’s a very powerful moment in the story, and I believe audiences will connect with her struggle as both divine and human.”
