GNDU Inter College Badminton Tournament held in Doaba College

Jalandhar, October 23, 2021: GNDU Inter College Badminton Tournament was held in International Standard Indoor Badminton Stadium Doaba College Jalandhar. Sixteen Teams of Boys and Girls, Colleges under GNDU participated in Division-A and Division-B Badminton matches. Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari graced the occasion as chief guest. He was accorded a hearty welcome by Dr. Mandeep Singh-Head, Physical Education Department, Prof. Balraj Singh- Incharge Badminton Competition GNDU, teachers and players.
Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari said in current scenario it is very important to channelize the energy of the students in right direction specially in sports so that they may attain a sound physical, mental and spiritual health. From this current session the college has high-tech health gymnasium Baichung Bhutia Football Academy, Cricket Academy, Indoor Badminton Stadium and vast playground to provide impetus to sports.
During first day in Badminton boys A-Division, Khalsa College, Amritsar defeated GNDU Campus Team 3-0. Doaba College, Jalandhar defeated Layalpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar 3-0. In Girls, HMV defeated Khalsa College for women 2-1 and SM College, Dinanagar defeated GNDU Campus team 2-0.
In girls B-Division SN College, Amritsar defeated SD College, Pathankot 3-0 and SSM, Dinanagar defeated St. Soldier College of Law team 3-0.
