53 colleges participate in technical event TechnoParv at CT Group

Jalandhar, April 5, 2019: CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus has organized an inter-college technical event named Techno-Parv 2019. It is one of the events of its kind that provided a platform to budding students in order to showcase their skills at technical podium.

528 students from 53 colleges across Punjab namely Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Government Polytechnic College for Girls, Ladowali Road, Government ITI Nakodar, Government ITI Haryana, Mehr Chand Polytechnic College, DAV College, Apeejay Institute of Management and Technology, GNA University and PTU Main Campus etc participated in the event. The students competed in 15 different technical events like 60 second science, quiz, best out of waste, idea-thon, lathe war, electro hunt, clay-it-now, tech memes, kreationz-expo, clash of bots and code relay etc.

The event was inaugurated with light lamping ceremony performed by CT Group Chairman Charanjit S Channi, Managing Director Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Campus Director Dr. GS Kalra and Joint Director Amandeep Singh Aujla along with staff and officials of campus.

Sharing about the reason behind organizing this event, Joint Director Amandeep Aujla said, “The key motive of holding this competition is to give a platform to engineering students especially to showcase their technical skills in various events under one roof. To boost their morale, we have also kept cash prizes and students must have gone back with a learning experience.”

The overall trophy was bagged by GNA University along with cash prize of Rs. 21,000, and Baba Kuma Singh College bagged second prize along with Rs. 11,000 and the third position was bagged by Government College Hoshiarpur along with Rs. 51, 00. Out of the 15 events, for best out of waste, the first, second and third positions were bagged by DAV College Jalandhar, GNA University and Chandigarh Group of Colleges. The first position for electro hunt was bagged by GNA University whereas Government ITI, Haryana and Modern Private ITI won second and third positions. IKG-PTU Main Campus won first position in Construkt whereas GNA University and CIPET, Amritsar bagged second and third positions. The first, second and third prize for lathe war was won by Government ITI, Nakodar, CTPC, Shapur and GNA University.

Managing Director Manbir Singh congratulated all the winning teams and appreciated the efforts of organizing team for holding such a learning competition that purely reflected the practical know-how of students related to their theoretical subjects.
