GNA University established Centre of Excellence for Honeywell Youth Empowerment in association with ICT Academy 

The Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Honeywell Youth Empowerment, a collaborative venture between GNA University and ICT Academy, was inaugurated with great enthusiasm by School of Engineering, Design and Automation, GNA University. The inaugural ceremony witnessed a gathering of distinguished guests, experts, and supporters from Academia and Industry.

Jalandhar, August 10, 2023: The Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Honeywell Youth Empowerment, a collaborative venture between GNA University and ICT Academy, was inaugurated with great enthusiasm by School of Engineering, Design and Automation, GNA University. The inaugural ceremony witnessed a gathering of distinguished guests, experts, and supporters from Academia and Industry.


This CoE aims to uplift the youth by offering innovative programs, mentorship, and educational resources that nurture personal growth, skill development, and leadership qualities. Notable figures from various fields graced the occasion, highlighting the significance of this initiative. The event emphasized the need to channel the potential of the youth towards positive societal transformation.


The inaugural ceremony started with the welcome address by Dr Vikrant Sharma, Dean, SEDA-E followed by the Inaugural address by Dr. Hemant Sharma, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, GNA university.  Abhinandan Pandey- State Head (Academics, Corporate Communications and Government Initiatives), ICT Academy along with Ravi Manager Academic Operations, ICT Academy and Akhilash, Corporate Trainer headed the event. Abhinandan Pandey, expressed gratitude for the support and highlighted the aligned objectives of the attendees. 


The CoE for Youth Empowerment is set to become a beacon of opportunity for young individuals seeking to contribute positively to society. Under this Centre of Excellence, in first phase more than 60 students of engineering will be trained on Microsoft Azure AI platform for 100 hours with the support of Honeywell. The ceremony concluded with a strong sense of purpose and the anticipation for a brighter future. 

Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Pro-Chancellor, GNA University congratulated all the members of the school for this wonderful opportunity. He briefed about this event as the beginning for providing solutions to make a better future and appreciated the students that they should take pride in being a part of this training and wished all the participants a great success.

Dr.VK Rattan, the Vice–Chancellor, GNA University appreciated the efforts of the school and encouraged them to learn emerging technologies which are in demand. Dr. Monika Hanspal, Dean Academics said, “GU is always focused towards making skilled manpower for the industry and this CoE will be one of the milestones for the same.”
