New Delhi, October 18, 2013: The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$ 108.15/per barrel (bbl) on October 17, 2013. This was marginally higher than the price of US$ 108.14/bbl which prevailed on the previous trading day of October 16, 2013.
In rupee terms the crude oil price fell to Rs 6659.88 per bbl on October 17, 2013 as compared to Rs 6671.16 /bbl on October 16, 2013. This was owing to rupee appreciation. Rupee-dollar exchange rate on 17.10.2013 was Rs 61.58/US$ against Rs 61.69/bbl on previous trading day of October 16, 2013.
