Hyderabad, November 12, 2025: On the occasion of National Education Day, students of Glendale Academy, Hyderabad, took learning beyond the classroom by leading an awareness session for senior citizens on “Cyber Safety – Dos and Don’ts for Senior Citizens.” The session was conducted by Grade 7 students Aarohi Singh, Varunika Singh, and Risha Kedia, who guided participants through simple and effective ways to stay safe online.
The session was attended by 13 senior members who actively participated in discussions, sharing their experiences with fake calls, phishing links, and online fraud. The student presenters explained key types of cyber threats, including identity theft and scams, through interactive demonstrations and real-life examples. They also shared simple, practical tips to identify and avoid online risks.

This initiative by our young learners exemplifies the Glendale philosophy of holistic growth and social responsibility. Empowering others through knowledge is the highest form of learning, and I am proud of our students for leading this meaningful effort.”
One of the participants, Neelam Sethi, spoke about the experience, adding, “The students made the topic of cyber safety so easy to understand, their examples were practical and relatable, and we now feel more confident handling technology. It was inspiring to see such young minds teaching us with so much patience and respect. Also, this session reminded us that learning truly has no age.”

They were open and curious, and we also learned from their stories about online scams.” Participants appreciated the clarity and confidence of the young presenters, noting that the session offered valuable and easy-to-apply insights.
The event reinforced Glendale Academy’s belief in experiential learning and community engagement, where students are encouraged to use their knowledge to create meaningful social impact.
